Gonna ramble about my IM x Castle in the Sky AU again

So again I'm a huge fan of the idea that Cup is a mama's boy, but that wasn't always the case

Mugs and Cup were still pulled away from home for awhile and Cup still ended up expiremented on by Hat [although not bc he sold his soul the demon was just greedy and curious]

Cup and Mugs end up staying there for 3-4 years until the dishes found them again and took them back home. And while Mugs is happy to be home, 17 year old Cup is angry with BOTH of his parents

It isn't until Demi risks herself to keep Cup and Mugs safe that Cup actually starts to bond with his mom again. And it's still a slow process. One thing they fight on about a lot is Cup being respectful to Canni. Cup still loves his dad don't get me wrong but he hasn't earned the same respect that his mom did yet.

Demi is frustrated with both Cup and Canni because Cannikin just tells her to "be patient" and "he'll come around on his own". This doesn't stop Canni from doing nice things for Cup like making him hot chocolate on one of Cup's rough mental health days.

Also Cup found it easier to forgive Demi because it wasn't Demi's idea to leave it was Canni's [or that's what he's telling himself]

So ya Cup is a mama's boy because I got a HINT of it in canon when he was still a toddler and I took it and RAN.

Bonus mother-son fluff;

-Sometimes Demi has to plan or navigate late at night, and when Cup doesn't sleep he just sits down and watches her work, she'll make room for him to sit, neither of them say anything and eventually Cup will fall back asleep

-She ends up keeping a few dandehogs on the ship that Cup is really attached to so long as he takes care of them and doesn't make Canni do it and that "it's his fault if they get blown off since it's windy"

-Cup is a full stop supporter of his mom's mission to Be A Nuisance To Black Hat, since now he's confident that she can hold herself in a fight with Hat and he also hates Hat

-Demi teases Cup about having no girlfriend a bit after Cala comes onto the ship, it's one of the few times that Cup looks to Canni for help [except Canni isn't going to tell his wife to stop so Cup's really on his own here]

-When they were first reunited there was a lot of back and forth of Demi trying to get Cup to do things that would be better for him, after Cup figured out she'll force him to do it anyway is when he began his days of malicious compliance. Even after they get along more, Cup still does this over smaller things, but it's more out of wanting to mess with her. Demi isn't sure if she's proud or annoyed when she says "bring me something to write on" and he brings her a clipboard instead of a paper and pen

Summary break to ramble about some old IM AUs I had 2 years ago

So the first one is a Castle In The Sky AU, where Alice had a pendant she got from her grandmother to protect, but as she runs from Black Hat she runs into Holly, Bendy and Boris. Bendy works to help patch planes for their rather new boss, Felix. Since in this AU all of the characters are younger.

Holly's dad died years ago trying to find the Castle In The Sky he spotted. They find out that due to Holly being part Micco and the Pendant being created by the Micco only she can use it, and it works as a guide and key to the Castle in the Sky.

So Black Hat [I considered the Devil at some point maybe I'll go back to that Idk] is chasing them down, and then these pirates start hunting them down to. The pirates being Demi, Canni, Mugs, Cup and Cala is on their plane but she doesn't participate often. Demi is the Captain. She's in it to spite Black Hat for traumatizing her family. [Basically she takes up the role of Dolores from the actual movie]

They do NOT have a mechanic asides Mugs, whose 16 in this au, trying to do what he can for the ship but he's a PILOT not a mechanic. So Bendy and Felix come along and are like "HOW ARE YOU IN THE AIR??? THIS ISN'T SAFE WHAT! WHAT! ARE YOU CRAZY WOMAN!?" and have to patch the literal HOLES in the bottom of the ship. Bonus jokes of Cup having fallen out of the ship at least once.

[For an idea on how old the characters are: Bendy/Alice: 14, Cup: 19, Holly: 17, Felix can stay the same, Boris: 10, Cala/Mugs: 16, Demi and Canni are the same]

Hunter, already weakened, drowns in the flooded graveyard during his possession by Belos. He’s rescued from the water by Camila, but it’s still too late—for one reason or another, Flapjack is unable to revive him. So he chooses to stick by Hunter, curling up on his chest and going limp not long after.

In a matter of minutes, two members of their group were now gone.

And less than two days later, Luz is killed by Belos during a valiant attempt to protect the Collector from one of his blows. Her body disintegrates until all that’s left of her is fleeting flickers of light. Her soul never makes it to the In-Between, leaving her forever unaware of the second chance the Titan may have blessed her with if they had been able to meet.

The two friends’ spirits unexpectedly reunite after their deaths. They’re grateful to have each other’s company, as navigating this alone would be all the more terrifying—but every time they look at each other, there’s a profound sadness to be felt: Belos has murdered them both and now they’re going to be stuck this way forever.

ratchets on standby for training accidents (part of his agreement to be allowed to stay with omega) so he's met orbimus once or twice but has no idea what he's looking at. ratchet would rather explode than let anyone else alone with that thang

even before the war it wasn't really very common knowledge what protoforms actually looked like since they were so heavily guarded. and they still are. so no kup wouldn't babysit
